When life is good, many are quick to it acknowledge God’s hand of favor. But when times are tough, why do some equate that with a removal of God’s hand? As we examine the lives of the apostles, God found them worthy to suffer for His glory. The same can be said for Job. If God counts us worthy of His blessings, we should also consider it an honor for Him to count us worthy of His testings and trials. Whether it be in blessings or trials, it is a wonder that God would be mindful of us at all!
Job 7:17-18 “What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?”
LESSON - Consider for a moment the attention that God affords you. Consider these passages:
Ps. 8:4 “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
Ps. 144:3 “Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!”
Whether you are experiencing blessings or overwhelming trials, count it a privilege that The Almighty God of this universe is mindful of you. Your blessings and your trials may be gone tomorrow, but his mercies are new every morning.
Lam. 3:22-23 “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Weather in blessings or trials, He is faithful and always mindful of you!
