Tithing reveals an abundance of gratitude, not wealth!

Many Christians have pondered the question “Is tithing still applicable for today?” Some feel that it was part of the Ceremonial Law which passed away with the beginning of the Church. Within this passage you see very clearly that tithing was a practice of Believers BEFORE The Law.

Gen. 14:18-20 “And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he (Abram) gave him (Melchizedek) tithes of all.”

LESSON - Nothing we have belongs to us, but we have been granted a great privilege by the Lord who owns it all to be stewards of His possessions. Tithing will never be grievous to a thankful Believer who considers how much he’s been given and how much he truly deserves. Learn to be a cheerful giver!
