Mt 26:14-16 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. LESSON - The antithesis of the previous lesson is also true. When a person arrives at the point where every possession they have is purely for self pleasure, true joy will be replaced by “feel good” happiness which is fleeting. Unfortunately for Judas, People like that are also remembered but for all the wrong reasons. If you start down the road of materialism, you will not like your final destination.
