According to Hebrews 10, The veil was a symbol of Jesus Christ.
1. Royalty (Colors)
Ex. 26:31-34 “And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:”
2. Holy (Precious metals)
“And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.”
3. Mediator (B/W God & man)
“And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.”
4. God’s means of reconciliation.
“And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.”
LESSON - Once a year, the High Priest would enter on the Day of Atonement. There he would pour blood upon the mercy seat for the covering of sins for an entire nation. When Christ shed His blood upon the cross, that vail was torn from top to bottom signifying God reconciling Himself to man through Jesus. Through this act, we now are privileged to bring our request boldly before the throne of God. Heb. 10:16-20 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;” Don’t take this opportunity for granted!
