This is Israel’s beginning!!
1. God chose a man
Gen. 12:1-3 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram,”
2. God chose THE place
“Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
3. God had His hand upon their founder!
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”
4. The reason our nation should retain close ties with Israel.
“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:”
5. Prophecy revealing that God is not done utilizing the nation of Israel to fulfill His plan of taking the Gospel to the entire world (Read Rev. 7).
“and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
LESSON - I love origin stories. There are none more fascinating than Isreal‘s. Right now, God is at work during this “Church Age” to rescue people from the judgment to come; however, during the Tribulation God will return His full attention back to Israel to ‘bless ALL nations” with the Gospel. Let’s do our job while time remains!
