The Mystery of God

The question asked by the martyrs in Rev. 6:10 “How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” Is answered within this passage.

Rev. 10:5-7 “And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.”

LESSON - This is where the seemingly unanswerable questions mankind has wrestled with will be addressed. Why do bad things happen to good people while evil men prosper? Why doesn’t an all powerful God just stop the bad things in the world from happening? Why must innocent children suffer abuse? Why must some people be born with birth defects to live with limitations, some with physical pain? First of all since nearly the beginning of time, mankind has wrestled with the effects of this sin-fallen world which was delivered to us by Adam and perpetuated by our sin nature. One day, time will cease as will the effects of sin! Secondly, “the mystery of God” will also be finished and all will be revealed. Questions which are not answered will no longer matter. Remember, at no point in anyone’s life is God not in control and we need no other answers!
