The Last Days Part 2

Updated: Jun 11

If you choose to live for the Lord, you WILL face opposition even from close friends and family. They will seek to perpetuate the same deception by which they themselves have been affected. Once again, the Bible gives us a measured response to these people.

2 Tim. 3:12-17 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

1. Return to the fundamentals of Biblical thinking and living.

“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

2. Set the scripture as your compass for life.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

LESSON - The results of returning to our roots will prove beneficial for our lives. Consider these character qualities:

1. Complete / Spiritual Maturity

“That the man of God may be perfect,”

2. Thoroughly equipped to serve God and help others.

“thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

It’s one thing for people to view us in this light, but it’s another thing altogether when God declares us to be an “almost finished” product.
