The Gospel
1 Cor. 15:1, 3-4
”Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” LESSON - What’s so good about the Gospel (Good News)?
1. Christ died for ALL of our sins, past, present, and future. Regardless of what we’ve done, all can be forgiven.
2. His resurrection was proof that God the Father accepted Jesus’ sacrifice as payment for our sin. Rom. 4:24-25 “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” This alone is the source of our assurance and hope of eternal life. Are you 100% certain that you have eternal life? If not, maybe you’re depending upon something else, something inferior to Jesus. Trust Him alone!
