If Satan can get you to doubt God’s word, he can eventually deceive you into disbelieving God’s word. That’s when men look to other places and things to find the fulfillment that only God can ultimately bring.
Gen. 3:1 “Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
V4 “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die”
LESSON - Notice Eve’s response to her new found doubt and disbelief.
1. Lust of the flesh - It was going to taste good.
V6 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food,”
2. Lust of the eyes - It looked good.
“and that it was pleasant to the eyes,”
3. The Pride of Life
“and a tree to be desired to make one wise,”
NOTICE THE PROGRESSION OF SIN:
1. It captivates
“she took of the fruit thereof,”
2. It captures
“and did eat,”
3. It completely destroys...completely!!
“and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
Rom. 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death;”
-If you choose to doubt this verse, you will eventually act in disbelief as sin separates you from everything and everyone you hold dear. You MUST choose to believe God’s word!!
