Silence is not an option

Responding when the Holy Spirit leads.

Acts 8:26-29, 35, 37b

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

LESSON - Many believe that the Gospel was spread throughout Ethiopia because of this Ethiopian eunuch. We must consider the implications if Philip had not responded to the Lord’s call to go and the Holy Spirit’s leading to speak. Today, we also have received a clear direction from the Lord to go and many times this week the Holy Spirit will lead you to speak to someone. You must realize that your silence may have long lasting implications for the many others who will not hear. Yield to His leading and the Lord may use your witness to change many people.
