The greatest evidence a Believer has for his faith is a changed life. Though many things change at the point of salvation, new Believers realize quickly thereafter that their sin nature is still ever present. What then is the Biblical solution for dealing with sin?
1. You must become a consistent student of God’s word.
Eph. 4:21-24 “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:”
2. You must allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the sins which must be “put off”.
“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;”
3. You MUST “put on” the Biblical replacement for this new found void, or you will eventually return to your sin.
“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
LESSON - If this will become part of your daily routine, you will find joy in life. Your life will become characterized with the righteousness and holiness of Christ. That’s what it truly means to “be like Christ”...to be a Christian!
