Lk 9:46-48 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. LESSON - It caused Satan to desire equality with God. It caused Eve to desire fruit she was not supposed to have. It caused Cain to offer an unworthy sacrifice representing his good works. It caused Moses to be unable to enter the promised land. TODAY, it causes many lost people to abstain from salvation. To truly develop an “Other’s first” mentality is a significant step towards overcoming the sin of pride and following Christ’s ultimate example of sacrifice. If you truly desire joy, it will be found in the service of others for Christ’s sake. Remember...Other’s 1st!!
