Prep for Prayer

Updated: Jun 11

The hardest prayer to pray requires:

1. Total submission to God’s plan.

Mt 26:39 “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed,”

2. Total sacrifice of one’s desires.

“saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me:”

3. Total surrender to God’s will.

“nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

LESSON - For God’s perfect plan for your life to move forward, it will require submission (humility before God), sacrifice (selflessness for the sake of God & others), and surrender (emptied of self and filled with His HS). Like Christ, you can’t pray this until you’re willing to make the ultimate sacrifice of yourself to His will above your own. Rom 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
