In Revelation 14, we see events leading up to and through the Battle of Armageddon. Though many of the verses deal with God‘s judgment upon those who have received the mark of the beast and rejected Christ, we also see the reward awaiting those who have received Christ and remained faithful during persecution. This promise is applicable to everyone who receives Christ and remains faithful to Him in service.
Rev. 14:12-13 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
LESSON - The Bible is clear that we cannot obtain grace through our righteous works. Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” But this passage is clear for them who have obtain grace through faith in the Lord Jesus that we will be rewarded in Heaven for our work done on Earth. Even after a Believer passes away, the investment they have made in the lives of others will continue to reap them rewards until the Judgment Seat of Christ. Their works will “follow” them. Until the Lord returns, this life will be difficult but the rest and reward in eternity will be worth everything we endured down here so remain faithful!
