More than you can imagine!

Updated: Jun 11

Lk 18:28-30 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

LESSON - This statement from Peter may have been a source of pride. He made the statement just after Jesus had spoken to them about the frailties of riches when compared to eternal life. Peter and the other disciples truly had left everything in order to follow Christ, but Jesus reminded them that it was a worthy sacrifice. Only after a person sacrifices for the cause of Christ do they realize that it is an impossible task to out give God. We should humbly look forward to the manifold blessings of God upon our lives, both now AND in eternity, if we have chosen to sacrifice all for Him.
