Ministry requires the assistance of others!

The phrase “as the Lord commanded Moses” appears in v1, 5, 7, 21, 26, 29, 31, 32, & 42 in Exodus 39. God had given him specific instructions for designing and constructing the Tabernacle and all of the elements connected to it. Every detail was of special importance because the tabernacle was a picture of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9), as well as the True tabernacle in Heaven (Revelation 21:3). When completed, notice Moses’ response to the work:

1. He paid attention to detail.

v43 “And Moses did look upon all the work,”

2. He was thorough in his obedience.

“and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it:”

3. He rewarded his fellow servants.

“and Moses blessed them.”

LESSON - God has given us multiple tasks to complete. We should respond to each one with the same tenacity with which Moses approached his work and respond in like manner. Many of our tasks cannot be accomplished alone; therefore, God calls us to recruit others to join us in order that we might disciple them in the process. As we collaborate with other Believers in the work of the ministry, may we be found as pleasing in the sight of God as Moses and his co-laborers. Our attitude should be “If it is to be done for the Lord, it should be done with excellence as unto the Lord!!”
