Lifestyle Evangelism

When many Christians mention “lifestyle evangelism”, they do so in the context of it being their sole source of evangelism. God never intended for our lifestyles to replace our vocal witness, but instead it was to ensure that our lives were not a deterrent to our message. Consider these principles:

1. Your lifestyle AND your message should reflect the same faith amongst everyone, but especially Unbelievers.

Col. 4:5-6 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

2. The communication of your witness should be thoughtful and knowledgeable.

“Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

LESSON - Eph. 4:15 “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” also refers to the communication of truth in a Christlike manner for the purpose of edification. Nowhere in Scripture are we commanded to refrain our witness for fear of hurting someone’s feelings or reprisal. Basically, the question we should be asking ourselves as Believers is not IF we should witness, but how shall we do it affectively?
