It’s worth the wait!

By utilizing the Tabernacle, God could now be with His people. They could have their sins covered, offer their prayers to God, then follow God as He led them.

Ex. 40:34-38 “Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.” LESSON - Jesus made a similar promise to us in Mt. 28:20 when He said “I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Now our sins are more than covered, they have been removed through the blood of Christ. We must learn the same lesson which God taught the Israelites. We must learn to wait upon God to move and go before us. Our tendency is to rush ahead of God, then ask Him to bless our vision, goals, & plans. Whether you are facing big decisions or troublesome circumstances, God offers this advice to those patiently waiting upon Him. Is. 40:28-31 “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard,

that the everlasting God, the LORD,

the Creator of the ends of the earth,

fainteth not, neither is weary?

there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint;

and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,

and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run, and not be weary;

and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Teach me Lord to wait!
