It’s time to clean house!

Leviticus 12:6-7a “And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her;

LESSON - This chapter describes in detail the ceremonial cleansing God required of the Israelites after the birth of their children. This was necessary for physical cleansing and protection from disease and infection. The sacrifices were manifestations of their faith necessary for spiritual cleansing and protection. God had made them acutely aware of their depraved nature passed on to them by their fathers, and that the resulting sin which they would commit required a sacrifice. If children are to eventually receive Christ today, their parents must also make significant sacrifices early on for their physical & spiritual protection. The standards they set will serve as The Law until their children choose of their own free will to accept Christ, receive the HS, and develop their own convictions based on God’s word. Sacrifices are often difficult, costly, and unpopular but are always worth it! When you see your children reproducing in the lives of their families the lessons gleaned from God’s word, every sacrifice will then be deemed “worth it”!
