God desires for us to exude humility, but He also commands that our witness be bold and unashamed. Sometimes we allow our feelings to prevent us from responding in faith. The Holy Spirit enables us to overcome feelings with faith.
1. To exchange the fear of man for faith in God.
2 Tim. 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2. To exchange self doubt with confidence in Christ.
V12 “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
LESSON - The one who knows God personally has access to unlimited power, unconditional love, and Spirit led self control. Also, knowing that The Cross gives us perpetual access to Him, it allows us to live each day with the knowledge that EVERY promise In God’s word will be kept because He is able to keep them. Eph. 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”
