How well do you handle temptation?

The Lord gave us a guide for dealing with temptation in a biblical manner.

1. You WILL be blessed by God IF you choose to love Him and reveal your faithfulness WHEN you face temptation to sin.

James 1:12-15 “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”

2. Temptation is provided by the World in order to stimulate your flesh to sin against God.

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” This is your opportunity to flee sin!

3. Sin is a choice you don’t have to make.

“Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:”

4. If you continue in sin, it’s eventual outcome is physical death EVERY time.

“and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

LESSON - Here we see the downward spiral of sin. This passage shows us that everyone experiences temptation and at times we will sin. Repentance is essential to avoiding long-lasting consequences. Learn to recognize temptation and respond Biblically. Otherwise, this could be YOUR future...Hollywood provides temptation > Temptation leads to lust > Lust leads to immortality > Immortality leads to unexpected consequences > Consequences lead to death. WE have been warned!!!
