How does the Lord’s return make you feel?

Does the Lord’s return excite you or scare you?

Here are Biblical examples of people who were ready to see Jesus:

1. They showed evidence of having received salvation.

1 Thes 1:5 “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.”

2. They were faithful during trials.

V6 “And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:”

3. They were obedient witnesses.

V8 “For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad;”

4. They repented to the Lordship of Christ.

V9 ”...ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;”

Results - They were excited for the Lord’s return.

V10 “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead,

LESSON - Preparation for the Lord’s return involves so much more than salvation. Knowing that you’re pleasing the Lord in every aspect of your life should bring you great joy and anxious anticipation for His return. Does it?
