Upon the revelation of God’s attributes unto Job, there was nothing else for Job to say. He had spent so much time and energy attempting to defend himself before God, He had forgotten the most important aspect of his own character before God. Mankind stands vile in contrast to God because He is God and we are not!!
1. I am a sinner
Job 40:3-5 “Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Behold, I am vile;”
2. I have no defense
“what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.”
3. I have chosen to surrender my will.
“Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.”
LESSON - This is an appropriate outline to follow anytime we encounter obstacles God allows across our path. PRAY “Lord, I am a sinner. I will not attempt to argue my point of view or try to circumvent your will regarding this matter with my own. Instead, I completely surrender myself to your will and your way because your ways will ALWAYS be better than mine. AMEN!!”
