Christ came to free us from sin.
Gal 1:3-5, 22-24
1. The plan
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2. The proof
And (I, Paul) was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me.
LESSON - Jesus came to save us from the penalty of sin “Who gave himself for our sins”. He is saving us from the power of sin “he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed”. He will one day save us from the presence of sin “that he might deliver us from this present evil world”. Jesus has done all these things for our good and God’s glory “according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” “And they glorified God in me.”
Are you free from sin?
