Consider the reason why Jesus came. He came to save sinners. If you have obtained a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you:
1. Have been saved from the penalty of sin (Justification).
Titus 2:11-15 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”
2. Are being saved from the power of sin (Sanctification).
“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”
3. Will be saved from the presence of sin (Glorification).
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”
LESSON - We were not saved merely to go to Heaven, but to also live holy separated lives. Go fulfill the purpose for which Christ came and tell others that they too can be free from sin.
“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
