Our eyes were not intended to create our faith, but reinforce it.
Jn 2:23-25 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. LESSON - If you are reliant on your eyes to believe, you are open to deception. Mt 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Here’s what Jesus had to say to unbelieving onlookers in Jn 4:48 “Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.” He would much rather us believe His word, obey it, and follow Him. Jn 11:40 “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” If you choose to place your faith in God’s word and lead with your faith, your eyes will see the glory of God in this life and the next.
