Eternal life and abundant life are available now!

Updated: Jun 11

Rather than cursing Israel, Balaam was led of the Lord to bless Israel to Balak’s dismay. God gave him a vision of Israel’s 2 future kingdoms after all their enemies were defeated.

I. Vision 1 - The Promised Land

1. Peace

Num. 24:5-7 “How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!”

2. Provision

“As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.”

3. Prominence

“He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.”

II. Vision 2 - The Millennial Kingdom

1. Jesus shall reign as King!

V17-19 “I shall see him, but not now:

I shall behold him, but not nigh:

there shall come a Star out of Jacob,

and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel,”

2. He will judge the nations.

“and shall smite the corners of Moab,

and destroy all the children of Sheth.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.”

LESSON - For NT Believers, our equivalent to the Promised Land is the victorious Christian life to which Jesus Himself promised in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Just like Israel, we also will enjoy the benefits of Jesus’ Millennial Reign in the end times. We who have received Christ as Savior and been given a rich inheritance with the promise of future glory will enjoy eternal fellowship with Him, FACE TO FACE! Like Israel, we too have received a blessing from God!!
