Does everyone LIKE you?

How do the self-made enemies of God view you?

Lk 6:22-23, 26 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

LESSON - If ALL men LIKE you, you may be living a duplicitous life. The first two verses clearly outline the responses one should expect if they really love the Lord. Things such as hatred, isolation, reproach, & slander will be a regular experience if your life is distinctly Christlike. The best aspect of this is that God calls you blessed when these things come to pass. It’s ok for a person to desire respect from others, including and especially their enemies. But, you should examine your motives if you live to be liked. Be careful not to seek their pleasure above Christ’s.
