When dealing with doubt, God not only provides real evidence of salvation but He also produces reliable witnesses.
1. In Heaven - The Trinity
1 Jn. 5:7-8, 11-13 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
2. On Earth - The Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and the word of God.
“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;”
LESSON - God desires that we have confidence in our relationship with Him, believing that He can and will keep his promises towards us. He wants us to:
1. Know that we know we’re saved!
“that ye may know that ye have eternal life,”
2. Place the source of our faith COMPLETELY on Him and not us.
“and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
Are you 100% certain that you have eternal life? If not, why not?
