Lev. 15:14-15 “And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest: And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.” LESSON - Once someone with disease was declared clean, they brought two offerings to the tabernacle for sacrifice. One was for a sinful heart and the other for a sinful body. Everything in our life is either a direct result of sin or an indirect result of living in a sin-fallen world with sinful bodies. The OT sacrifices should remind us that Jesus paid for both. Not only are we spiritually clean through justification, but one day we will be completely clean through glorification. The hymn writer said it best “Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin has left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.” Let your obedient life serve as thankfulness to Him for His blood’s complete cleansing power!
