God has a natural order of things in each local church. Within the church, we all have different offices, gifts and talents. Although we may serve in different areas and in different capacities, we all have the same goals.
Eph. 4:11-14 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”
1. For every Believer to reach spiritual maturity.
“For the perfecting of the saints,”
2. To fulfill the Great Commission while utilizing the Great Commandment.
“for the work of the ministry,”
3. To allow the Lord to work through us to build the church, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
“for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
LESSON - If we choose not to be unified with this common purpose, many will fall to deception in these final days. Many would seek to divide us over matters of lesser importance. Let’s choose to be joined by our common faith, grounded in the doctrines of God’s word.
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
