Are you experiencing the full benefits of the Holy Spirit‘s work in your life? If you don’t know the Lord and if you are not walking in obedience with Him, you are missing out! Jn 14:15-17, 26-27
“If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father,”
1. He provides comfort & companionship.
“and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”
2. He lives within you.
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
3. He teaches you new lessons from God’s word while making applicable old principles.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
4. He provides peace.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.”
5. He gives courage in times of fear.
“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
LESSON - Within this passage are two keys to experiencing the FULL benefits of the Holy Spirit.
#1 - You must be saved, because he who is of the world “cannot receive” Him.
#2 - You must be obedient which is proof that you “love Him”.
