There is an appointed day for God’s judgment! Are you prepared to stand before Him? Things you need to know:
1. God’s patience towards our sin has a limit.
Acts 17:30-34 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”
2. He will judge the world based upon His standard (righteousness), not ours (goodness).
“Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness”
3. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the guarantee that this WILL happen.
“by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
LESSON - Notice the responses to this message from Paul:
1. Rejection
“And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked:”
2. Consideration
“and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.”
3. Conversion
“So Paul departed from among them. Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.”
We must be faithful to share this message with others. There will be mixed response, but all will be held accountable, including us.
