Yield to He who lives within you!

Updated: Jan 18, 2022

After all of the articles of the Tabernacle were in place, God gave specific Instructions to Moses for oil to be made in order to sanctify the Tabernacle and everything therein. Once that was accomplished and the Tabernacle declared holy, the priests were then to be anointed with the same oil in order to be sanctified as well. None of the congregation of Israel was allowed to recreate the oil or be anointed by the priest’s oil. It was solely for their use alone.

Ex. 30:30-33 “And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

LESSON - The oil is a picture of the Holy Spirit. The anointing of the oil is equivalent to the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit which is in EVERY Believer. He has made you holy and sanctified you for His purpose. Now that you have experienced salvation, you do not need a yearly sacrifice for your sins to be covered. That’s where Jesus came in! Now that you have obtained the Holy Spirit through salvation, you are sanctified and declared holy. He will never leave you! Do not fight His abiding presence but instead yield to His word, His will, and His way. Only then will you avoid the deceptions of the flesh and experience the BEST truth has to offer.

1 Jn. 2:20, 27 “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
