It’s not yours!

When God is ready to meet the needs that are present in your life, he often uses the resources of other stewards to meet your needs. Though these things may have once been the responsibility of stewardship to someone else, we must be mindful that it is God who has provided for our needs. He simply worked in the hearts of others to provide it.

Gen. 43:19-23 “And they came near to the steward of Joseph’s house, and they communed with him at the door of the house, And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food: And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand. And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks. And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.”

LESSON - God had used the famine in Canaan to reveal to Joseph’s brothers their wickedness. Now they were humble enough to speak the truth regarding their money with Joseph’s steward and honest enough to return it with extra. In turn, His stewart taught them a lesson about God’s provision for His children, a lesson of which we should all be reminded. Eph. 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
