Faith acts while feelings react!

Why do you choose to remain in fear, anxiety, or worry? Nowhere in scripture does God hold us accountable for the way we “feel” in response to troublesome situations, but He does hold us to account for every thought, word, and deed. So, how should we choose to respond when we experience failed expectations?

1. Realize your feelings don’t have to dictate your responses.

Mt 8:23-27 “And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.”

2. Remember “Who” is in the boat with you.

“And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?”

3. If you trust in Him, you will see the power of God displayed in your life.

“Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”

LESSON - Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith. Disobedience, regardless of the situation, is as a result of disbelief and lack of faith in God. Regardless of your circumstances or how you feel, respond immediately and obediently to God’s word and you will experience God’s power in you, around you, and through you.
