I find it interesting the phrase used to describe the man previously possessed of the legion of demons. Once he was delivered, he was “sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind” meaning God had changed the way he acted, the way he dressed, and the way he thought. Notice his response to Jesus and Jesus’ response to him.
Mk 5:18-20 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. LESSON - Our part is not to dwell in the presence of Believers, but to go before the Lost and reveal the Glory of God through our transformed lives. This flies in the face of some who would merely want to congregate with other Believers and resemble the world. Never forget your mandate in Mt 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Others should marvel at the transformative work accomplished in YOUR life by His grace.
