A One World System - Part 1 The Religion

Our world is rapidly moving towards a one world system. In order for a one world system to function effectively for all people, there must be one religion and one economy. This will provide the right environment from which the “unholy trinity” will rise to power. Rev. 17 focuses primarily upon the religious aspect of this one world system.

1. All nations will “buy” into it’s worldly and sensual teaching.

V1-2 “...Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

2. It will ride the “coattails” of the beast’s influence into power.

V3-6 “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.”

3. It will be materialistic and unholy.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:”

4. It will be temporal minded rather than Christ centered.

“And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.”

5. It will promote persecution of the Saints.

“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”

LESSON - Unfortunately, we see many aspects of this growing within churches today. Be mindful of these things when you observe what churches are doing. We see a growing trend away from solid doctrine for the sake of church growth and unity. “Cheap” grace Is being proliferated within Christian circles teaching that repentance is not necessary. The Great Commission is slowly being replaced by a greater emphasis upon social justice while turning deaf ears to the plight of persecuted Christians. Too many church leaders have traded humble servant spirits for lavish lifestyles. Do not yield to this growing mindset existing within current religious communities. In doing so, you are paving the way for this one world religion devoid of God.
